Project snapshot

Battery charging station frames for warehouse electric pallet jacks

EFC was engaged by HelloFresh to design and manufacture 43 battery charging station frames for their warehouse electric pallet jack fleet. With a site relocation underway, all units needed to be delivered and installed by a fixed deadline to avoid operational downtime. The solution also needed to accommodate two different battery systems, each requiring different charger configurations.

This project demonstrates EFC’s sheet metal manufacturing capability for warehouse equipment and repeat production supply in Sydney.

01 · Challenge

Deliver charging infrastructure without disrupting operations

HelloFresh required battery charging frames for their electric pallet jack fleet during a site relocation. All units needed to be installed by a fixed deadline to avoid downtime, with two battery types requiring different charger configurations.

02 · Solution

Design a universal frame to suit multiple charger types

EFC developed a robust frame with a universal back plate to suit both charger types, simplifying installation and reducing variation. A prototype was built and tested before moving into full production.

03 · Result

Production delivered and installed on time, with no disruption

Production was completed in line with the relocation schedule, allowing installation without impacting operations. The final design provided a reliable, repeatable solution supporting a more efficient and sustainable fleet.
